The Southern Bullmastiff Welfare have access to eight kennels which are used to house 'rescue' bullmastiffs waiting for
suitable homes. Some of these dogs are only in the kennels for a short period but unfortunately some have to stay a little
longer until the right home comes along. During their stay, apart from kennelling expenses, some require veterinary
attention. Dogs coming into the kennels for any length of time are checked by a vet, their innoculations are updated and
they may require worming and flea treatment. All this is a serious drain on the Welfare's resources.
In order to help fund these needs, the Welfare is seeking sponsors for individual kennels. An amount of money paid
periodically to the Welfare could make an immense difference. It does not need to be a huge amount, just a regular
payment
What would you get in return?
Firstly, the satisfaction of knowing you are helping the Welfare to carry on its vital work helping unfortunate bullmastiffs
who usually through no fault of their own find themselves 'homeless'.
Secondly you would receive a newsletter twice yearly informing you of the dogs that have occupied the kennel that you
sponsor. This would tell you a little about the dogs and about their re-homing.
By sponsoring a kennel you can feel you are helping individual dogs. You may even meet one at a Southern Bullmastiff
Society event. Would it not be nice to be able to say "I helped that bullmastiff in its' hour of need".
So what do you do now?
Request a standing order form from Barry Blunden (the Welfare Co-ordinator) on 01992-892079. Fill in the form with your
bank details and the amount you wish to sponsor. These payments can be made either monthly, quarterly or yearly.
Choose which kennel you wish to sponsor. They all have individual names. Just tick your choice. You can sponsor more than
one kennel if you wish. Finally, return the form to Barry Blunden.
